NWRG Meet in Redmond, OR - Day 2

Day 2: Fortuna, CA to Florence, OR, 282 miles.   Misty and foggy.  In and out of fog most of the day, when it got real thick, was hard to see the A in front.

Wildlife today,  lots of elk, one bear, one camel on the beach,,,,,?????

Misc pictures,,,,,

Seems like we were at the mercy of the gas gods today.  First fill-up cost $4.99, two miles down the road at an Indian reservation, price was $3.40,,,     duh,,,,

Second fill-up, only Pat and I realized we were low and fell off the back of the convoy and filled up.  The rest kept going until they were desperate and stopped at this one pump store, $$$$$.  We made their day.  It was only open for two days so they were extremely happy for our business!

Of course, we are in Oregon now,,,and everywhere on the side of the road were signs regarding Tsunami Warnings! A bit scary!

Some of us had clam chowder twice in one day. Second time at Mo's in Florence.  Bill Lancaster had taken Bill Cilker there some forty years ago.

On the road, Lee's fuel pump worked loose again causing one blown fuse necessitating a short stop for Lee, and Will finally figured out that his tail and brake light leads needed to be reversed.    Onward to Redmond!!
